The garden is the heart of our farm but we also have chickens, pigs, lamb, goats and bees. Our farm isn’t big, but it is abundant. On Sundays, families gather at our country store from 12-4pm. In the spring, we sow the seeds with hope, in summer we watch them grow, and in fall, we reap the rewards of our hard work!
We live in a small town outside of Charlotte, North Carolina that started out growing plants in 2017. We took our love for plants to the farmers markets and found out there are tons of local people just like us who enjoyed growing what they were consuming. After a year of growing and selling medicinal plants, we started Queen City Tea Shop at that same farmers market. Then, in 2020, we changed our business model and ventured into the homestead lifestyle. This allowed us to have a tea business, sell to consumers and businesses plus run a small farm. We also have a country store on the farm that is open on Sundays only from 12-4pm in Kannapolis, N.C. located 3435 Camp Julia Road. Bring the whole family so you can enjoy all of our sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, pigs and other animals.
As a family, we focused mostly on chickens. We now have bees, goats, sheep and pigs. As a family who farms we see and know the benefits of providing our animals with both a clean and healthy environment and what that does for their quality of life but also what it does for ours. We are intentional about providing our pigs with new forage areas, chickens who roam freely on the property, therapeutic goats for yoga and everyone having access clean fresh water daily. By mimicking more of a natural system, our animals are impacted less and live a healthier lifestyle, this healthy lifestyle is passed on not only to the consumer through quality products but also to the environment improving soil health and the ecosystem. This is great for the environment and directly affects the quality of meat.
